The Disciplines of the Lord

We all likely feel comfort in what we read in Hebrews 12:6 LSB... "6 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE FLOGS EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES”, but when we are in the middle of those disciplines, it can feel less comforting. The expanded passage of Hebrews 12:4-11 fills in our understanding and ends in verse 11 with this..., "And all discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful, but to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness." That peaceful fruit of righteousness is Christ in us and leads to the rest of Christ. How many of us understand the fullness of what that truly means?
